Back in 1990, we were the first to create outdoor furniture from recycled plastic materials. "Made with genuine Polywood lumber" is a brand promise. Polywood recycles an average of 400,000 milk jugs per day. Truckloads of recycled milk jugs are transformed into genuine Polywood lumber which is then used to construct our furniture. Polywood furniture is built to withstand all four seasons and a range of climates including hot sun, snowy winters, salt spray, and heavy winds. Unlike traditional wood furniture, Polywood furniture will never need to be sanded, painted or stained. Our patio chairs are built to be enjoyed season after season after season. Regularly cleaning the furniture frames with a mild soap and water solution is recommended. Loosen any dirt and debris that may catch in the surface grooves of the lumber by mixing ⅓ parts bleach with ⅔ parts water. Allow the bleach solution to sit on the lumber for a few minutes, it will not affect the color of the lumber. Rinse thoroughly, and air dry or wipe dry with a soft cloth. Routinely cleaning the cushions and sling with mild soap and water will help prevent build-up of dirt, which can generate mildew. Simply spot treat stains with mild soap and water, rinse, and allow the fabric to air dry. For tougher stains, mix one ounce of bleach with 30 ounces of water in a spray bottle. Spray the same area with clean water to rinse the bleach solution out of the fabric. Wipe the entire cover with a clean cloth to remove any excess moisture and allow the cover to air dry. Regular maintenance of the furniture will extend its life and will keep it looking beautiful.
